About

Growing up in the mid-1970s, I had the unique opportunity to travel with my father on weekends while he held seminars for accountants and attorneys about a strange-sounding new law, called ERISA. While listening to him talk about topics like “vesting” and “Form 5500,” I never thought that my future professional life would be profoundly affected by this monumental shift in how Americans would prepare for retirement. But it has been and still is.

In the decades since, I’ve been fortunate to experience nearly every aspect related to defined contribution plans, working in recordkeeping, plan advice and consulting, asset management, and more. I’ve always been interested in creating content about the retirement space. I’ve spoken numerous times at client events and conferences, and a few years back, I co-authored several books with colleagues on retirement planning and DC plans. And now, with the emergence of podcasting, I’m seeking to collaborate with others who have a passion for this profession to share candid discussions about the latest industry trends in advice and business building.
